Yes, I've just got myself acquainted with a new artist (well of course not literally), but some of you may already know of him, anyway it's David Mack.

Dashed to pieces now.

At first I thought you were giving me a gay link, and it was like, well not that literally that I like him guys --- just his work, let's not get too excited here and ahead of ourselves.

Now for that link: Oh, this is bad! And he works for Marvel comics. Maybe these are his past indiscretions.

The stuff I like is his Kabuki range of comics (I've just ordered some off Amazon). Here he is incorporating collage and mixed media effects (stuff I love) and how I may go with my Palazzo Delectable comic.

As for him copying off photographs, I don't mind that too much, as that's kind of a reference point. He's more than welcome to use my image (plus I've got censored x-rated ones too! (smile).

Still I use public domain images to create my comic, but then at least people know I'm not the artist, just the icon writer.

He made his name doing the Kabuki thing, then marvel hired him on the strength of that, so the extraordinary rip off stuff came afterwards!

I can't understand it really. All I can think of is that, well, Kabuki is not really a traditional comic - it's full of one page images and walls of text but it became very succesful so he got hired, then they sent him a comic script to draw and he realised he had no idea at all how to do it, panicked and somehow regressed to a schoolboy!

Anyway, don't let that put you of the stuff you liked - there's no similarity between the two. I'd say Kabuki is a combination of photographs and text, so I can see why it would appeal. As for your own image, if you send me some references I can always slot you into Emily England - one of the upcoming characters is actually based on some photos sent to me by Shaggers!

At least he's not as bad as the one cat who traces his images out of porn magazines.
I even forget his name.

I looked it up,

May do, but currently someone is putting somewhat of a resemblance of me in his comics .... If I'm game I'll send them through Zatso's private channel.
